Path with Art has an annual fall fundraiser––the Art for All Ball––which raises money to keep our programming free to participants and partners. Participants work with Teaching Artists to create theatrical outfits for community leaders who serve as models and walk the runway at the fundraiser. The outfits have traditionally been made out of common or found materials, we call this “Found Fashion.” Participants who have high attendance in these classes will be invited to the fall fundraiser on a free ticket.
All of our Found Fashion classes are In-Person at the artHOME in Seattle. Participants may take one Found Fashion class in addition to another class.

Join us for Zipped Together, a dynamic, hands-on fashion class where you will explore the endless design potential of one of fashion’s most overlooked tools: the zipper. This collaborative class dives into experimental garment construction using reclaimed and surplus zippers as the primary material, pushing the boundaries between structure, sculpture, and style to make an outfit for our community model as part of the Art for All Ball.
You’ll learn some basic sewing techniques, textile manipulation, and upcycling strategies, all while working as a team to design and build a one-of-a-kind, wearable garment made almost entirely out of zippers

MATERIALS MAILED TO PARTICIPANTS
The art of collage appears in music, poetry, and the visual arts. This art kit focuses on collage as a visual art form and encourages an exploration of color, shape and composition. With the contents of this art kit, users can glue and stick various paper and fabric pieces together to create new and unique artworks. Collage-making is also an opportunity to bring the everyday life into your artwork: dig through your junk drawer and use old newspaper clippings or magazine cutouts; upcycle junk mail and tissue paper; re-purpose old photographs and artworks. Play and experiment to make unique works of art!
Path with Art offers virtual, in-person, LGBTQIA+ Open Studios, as well as music Jam Sessions that are free and open to the public. To learn more and see the Open Studio and Jam Session Calendar, CLICK HERE.
