Did you ever come up with elaborate scenarios while playing with toys as a kid? Do you ever find yourself fantasizing about conversations you might have with another person? Do you like coming up with stories to entertain yourself while you’re waiting for the bus? Well, I have news for you… You’re a playwright! In this course, we will explore dialogue, narrative arc, and scene structure to write our own One-Act Play. During our sessions, you will be guided through collaborative brainstorming, be given prompts to free-write, and workshop your work to help put your wildest dreams down on paper. The course will culminate in dramatic readings of participants’ (who wish to share) short, One-Act Plays. Remember, it’s called a play for a reason, so let’s have some fun!
No experience required! This class is open to veterans and non-veterans.
