We offer multi-disciplinary arts engagement opportunities, from weekly classes to drop-in sessions. We strive to meet participants where they are to engage at their level in a supportive learning environment.

ACCESS ART

Participants are provided access to exhibitions and performances at local art and cultural institutions, led by supportive volunteers. Last year, we provided over 40 opportunities to experience programming at the Seattle Opera, Seattle Repertory Theatre, Seattle Art Museum, Pacific Northwest Ballet, and Seattle Shakespeare to name a few.

ARTS EDUCATION

Our programming is multidisciplinary, spanning; painting, drawing, illustration, audio/podcast, photography, writing, sculpture, printmaking, ceramics, theater, dance/movement, and music. Participants can choose to join us online or in-person.

Every quarter, we offer over a dozen 8-week classes which provide hands-on skill-building in a variety of disciplines taught by a rotating roster of over 50 professional teaching artists in a safe and supportive community.

In addition to classes, we offer short workshops for participants to dip their toes into art-making of various subjects, as well as weekly drop-in sessions called Open Studio, and art kits (step-by-step projects mailed to you). All of this programming is available free to participants on a quarterly basis.

arts partner trainings

Professional development training for staff, leadership, and volunteers in regional arts organizations helps realize more inclusive spaces for people who are low-income and in recovery.

community connections

Expansive art projects between our participants and the broader public bring disparate groups of people together to foster deeper understanding, and see each other through the human lens of art.

exhibitions + Showcases

Public exhibitions and performances celebrate and showcase students’ artistic achievements. These events are opportunities to shift both personal and public perceptions of recovery.

social service partner workshops

On-site art workshops for select social service partners allow us to reach participants at their own comfort level, support partners, and build communities within.
