Opening Reception: Thursday, April 23 from 5-7 PM
@ artHOME
As the seasons shift from darkness into light, we pause to recognize the quiet transformations unfolding around us. Flowers emerge, the earth softens, and green returns to the landscape. In this moment of transition, we take time to reflect on the year that has passed, while opening ourselves to the one ahead.
Creativity lives within these cycles. The rhythms of wind, growth, and renewal echo within ourselves, guiding our thoughts, our relationships, and the work we create.
In Material Rhythms, each artwork created by our Participant Artists reflects that interconnected movement. The pieces exist as moments within a larger cycle, shaped by the passing of seasons and the shifting energy that comes with them. They invite us to slow down, to notice the materials that surround us, and to recognize the ways creativity grows from the environments and communities we are part of.
Like the seasons themselves, this practice moves forward in cycles—observing, responding, and creating again. Each year brings new materials, new perspectives, and new expressions, shaped by the ongoing rhythm of life. These are our material rhythms.
Free to attend! All are welcome.
